There are many countries in the world. I am a citizen of Nepal. Nepal is our country. It is our motherland. l am. proud of being Nepali, Nepal lies between two big Asian Countries China and India. It is a landlocked country.
According to the Constitution of Nepal-Nepal is an independent, indivisible, sovereign, secular, inclusive, democratic, socialism-oriented, federal democratic republican state. It is a multi-ethnic, multilingual, multi-religious, multicultural, sovereign country. Its total area is 1, 47,181 sq km or 56,827 sq miles. The capital city of Nepal is Kathmandu. The people living in Nepal are called Nepalese.
Its average length is 885 km and its average width is 195 km. it lies between 26°22′ north to 30°27 north latitude; 80°4′ east to 88°12′ east longitude. It occupies 0.3 percent, of the total land area of Asia and 0.03 percent of the total land area of the world. It has its own currency, national anthem, national flag, and constitution. Nepal is a rich country with natural prosperity. Forest with different kinds of useful trees and medicinal herbs,’ charming flowers, common and rare animals and birds make our land green, beautiful and attractive tourist center.
Nature has bestowed upon our land minerals and vast water resources in the forms of glaciers, lakes, rivers, brooks, springs, and falls. They have made our land the second richest country in water resources in the world. We are proud that our soil is sacred. Goddess, Laxmi, consort of God Vishnu had her incarnation here in the form of Sita. It is the sacred land where the Tenth incarnation of Vishnu and Light of Asia, Gautam Buddha, was born and his religion spread in many countries. It is the holy land of the great sage Valmiki and Vyas, great king Janak, and great scholars like Yagyavalkya and Maitreya. It is the land of Araniko and Bhrikuti.
Our country has given birth to valiant soldiers whose names and fame spread in the world and who preserved the country’s freedom with their unique bravery. Our people belonging to different castes, religions, traditions, and customs present a matchless example of unity. Nepal is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. We are in favor of world peace. We believe in peace in the world. We believe in the policy Live and let live. We are determined to keep our national flag with the moon and sun always fluttering in the sky.
Every people like and love their country. They feel proud of their country. We are proud of Everest, the crown of our motherland, the highest summit in the world, and a great attraction for tourists and climbers. We are proud that nature has decked our motherland with mountains, hills, foothills, and plains. We should use them wisely.
